Prospect collects what it needs to run your booking and nothing more. Here is the whole list.

Pre-launch draft

This describes how the product actually behaves today, but it has not been reviewed by a lawyer and does not yet address every jurisdiction (GDPR, CCPA and similar). Have counsel review it before launch.

What we collect from customers

When you book a tour: your name, email address, and optionally your country, phone number, the prospective student's graduation year, how many people will watch, and anything you tell us you'd like to see.

Your browser's timezone, so we can show tour times correctly and put the right times in your emails.

Basic funnel analytics: which pages you visited and which link brought you here (including a referral code if you used one). This is our own, stored in our own database. We do not use third-party advertising trackers or sell data.

What we collect from guide applicants

Your name, personal and university email addresses, university, graduation year, major, languages, interests, hometown if you share it, a bio, and a profile photo.

A document proving current enrolment, usually a photo of your student ID. This is sensitive: it is stored in private storage, is never shown on your public profile or given a public link, and is only accessible to staff reviewing applications.

What is public

Approved guides have a public profile: preferred name, graduation year, major, bio, languages, interests, photo, and their rating once they have reviews. Nothing else you submit is published.

Reviews are published with a first name only, or whatever display name you choose.

Payments

Card payments are handled by Stripe. We never receive or store your full card details. We keep a record of the amount, status and processor reference for each booking.

Email

We send transactional email only: booking confirmations, reminders, join links, and a post-tour review request. We log that these were sent so we can support you if something goes missing.

Cookies

A session cookie when you sign in, an anonymous identifier for funnel analytics, and a cookie recording how you first arrived (for referral attribution). No advertising cookies.

How long we keep things

Booking records are kept for accounting purposes. Verification documents are kept only as long as needed to verify a guide and satisfy employment record-keeping, then deleted.

Your choices

Ask us for a copy of your data, a correction, or deletion, and we'll act on it. Deleting an account does not remove records we must keep for tax or employment reasons.
