Terms of service

Prospect sells live, guided video tours of university campuses. A tour is led in real time by a currently enrolled student at that campus and delivered over a third-party video service. Nothing is prerecorded.

We are an independent company. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any university mentioned on this site, and we do not act on any university's behalf.

Prices are shown per family. One booking covers one household watching together on a single connection, however many of you there are.

Payment is taken at the time of booking through our payment processor. Your booking is confirmed once payment succeeds and we email you a confirmation.

You may cancel up to 24 hours before the tour start time for a full refund. Contact us using the details in your confirmation email.

If we cancel or cannot deliver a tour — weather, safety, connectivity, guide illness — we refund you in full or move you to another tour, whichever you prefer.

If you do not join a tour you booked and did not cancel in time, we are not obliged to refund it, though we will usually try to move you to another tour.

Routes vary by guide, weather, time of day and what is open. We do not guarantee access to any specific building or space.

Guides go only where they are permitted to be and where filming is allowed, and they may decline any request that is unsafe, intrusive, or against their university's rules. Their judgement is final during a tour.

Tours are conducted in public and semi-public spaces. Other people may appear incidentally in the video.

Treat guides with respect. We may end a tour without refund if a participant is abusive, harassing, or asks a guide to do something unsafe or improper.

Do not record, republish or redistribute a tour without our written permission and the guide's consent.

Guides are employed by us. We verify enrolment before a guide leads any tour.

We assign the guide for each scheduled tour. If a guide becomes unavailable we will substitute another verified guide or cancel and refund the tour.

Tipping is optional and only offered after a tour. Tips go to the guide in addition to their wages.

We provide the tours as described. To the extent permitted by law, our liability for any booking is limited to the amount you paid for it.

We are not responsible for the availability or performance of the third-party video service, your internet connection, or your device.

We may update these terms. The version in force is the one published here at the time you book.
